1. Identifying which model number you have.

  • Model numbers appear on the outside of the carton in the form of a label and are also stamped IN INK.

  • On multiple carton units the model number on labels should be identical.

2. Where is the instruction manual?

  • Inside the hardware bag. In the #1 carton on multiple carton units.

3. Holes in panels are not aligning up with the holes
    in the floor frame.

  • Check base rail dimensions with dimensions indicated in the instruction manual

  • Check unit to ensure that it is square.

  • Make sure building is level.

  • Line up large holes in panels with small holes in base rails.

4. Floor frame does not align with foundation kit.

  • Ensure that your foundation kit is a Spacemaker foundation kit and that the size corresponds to the size of your building.

  • Foundation needs to be assembled to the correct size for your size of building. The buildings base rail dimensions also need to be the correct dimensions as indicated in the instruction manual.

  • Cross channels inside foundation kit need to be spaced apart at their proper dimensions as indicated in the assembly instructions.

  • Buildings are nominal in size. Measurements are taken from the outer most surfaces of your building; the model number corresponds to the approximate size of your building.
    (e.g. Model HH1013 is 10' wide and 13' long).

5. Holes in roof panels do not line up with holes
in ridge beam and top wall braces.

  • Building is out of square - may be square at bottom but not at top. If building is out of square, rack and push the shed until it falls back square. Also loosen the roof panels to give more play and flexibility.

  • Building is not level.

  • Be sure panels are installed in proper locations according to the instruction manual.

  • Building should not be anchored until the complete unit is assembled.

6. Doors on the building do not hang level or there
is a noticeable gap between doors.

  • Position top of doors so that holes in door line up with centre holes in door glides. If a gap appears at the bottom of the doors use upper hole in glide (nearest to the centre of the two door panels) on either door to minimize gap. If a gap appears at the top of the doors use lower holes in glide.

7. Rear wall brace and channels are too large to
    fit inside rear wall panels.

  • Check dimensions of assemblies. They are to be slightly smaller than the floor frames.

8. Leaking.

  • Make sure all weather-stripping and washers are used.

  • Check if weather-stripping tape is adhering to panels. When installing do not stretch. Apply directly off the roll on a clean dry panel.

  1. Before starting the assembly, take a complete inventory using the parts list in the manual of all components supplied in your shed

  2. If any parts are missing or damaged call customer service at 1-888-640-SHED. Parts will be delivered to you in 3-10 working days.

  3. Make sure ground is level. Check unit for squareness throughout assembly.

  4. Do not anchor unit until assembly is completed.

  5. Keep instruction manual for future use.

  6. Building permits - check with local zoning codes.

  7. Door location is always on the width dimension. All models numbers give the width dimension first. See examples below on some models for door locations.

  8. Do not assemble the building on a windy day.
